Surya Namaskar- The best Spiritual Yoga !

 It is a fact that the sun provides the energy that makes life possible on the earth.( a picture by Surya Savarnika Manavu Ashramam)

         Surya or the Sun God has been given greatest importance from the Rig veda period which seens divinity in the whole of the creation. The Surya or Sun called as PratyakSha Bhagavan i.e God who can be perceived by our naked eyes. It is a fact that the sun provides the energy that makes life possible on the earth. Surya Namaskara is a Traditional form of Worship to the Sun God and each of the 12 poses has a specific mantra that the practitioner may optionally recite mentally .Even though Surya Namaskara is not mentioned in the earlier Yogic  Texts . as it is considered by the Yoga Gurus(Masters) as a potent exercise whose energizing benefits are seen both on the body and mind. So gradually   Surya Namaskar practise  has been considered as  one of the best Yoga practise, in the World.

      As per Sri Sunil Daman, in an article which has been published in 'patheos' Hindu channel " It was a landslide victory for India at the UN General Assembly when the United Nations declared June 21st as International Yoga Day (or World Yoga Day). This came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged the world community to celebrate yoga at the international level, in his maiden speech at the UNGA in September 2014. He had said, “yoga is an invaluable gift of our ancient tradition. It is not about exercise, it’s a path through which an individual can discover his sense of oneness with nature. It embodies unity, unity of the mind and the body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment. On the whole, it’s a holistic approach to health and well being.” . So as Surya Namaskar is also part of Yoga practise , the Inter national Yoga Day i.e 21 june may be considered as Surya Namaskara DayHere remember able point is June 21st is Summer Solistice i.e Longest day of the year. Solistice gets its name from the latin for Sol(sun)and sistere(to stand still0. So "world Yoga day" is nothing but "Surya Namaskar Day".

Now let us know about the Surya Namaskara Yoga  Practice through below given images which contains brief  information which is sufficient to understand. .

As per Sri Sri Yoga Teacher from the Art of Living Foundation, Surya Namaskar calorie calculation is as follows:

One round of Surya Namaskar burns upto 13.90 calories for an average weighing person. You can now set a target for yourself. You can slowly increase the number of rounds of surya namaskar to 108. By the time you reach this number, you will become more toned and fitter.

30-minutes workout calorie meter: How many calories are you burning in your 30 minute workout?

Weight lifting = 199 calories

Tennis = 232 calories

Basketball = 265 calories

Beach volleyball = 265 calories

Football = 298 calories

Bicycling (14 - 15.9 mph) = 331 calories

Rock climbing = 364 calories

Running (7.5mph) = 414 calories

Surya Namaskar = 417 calories

So Finally it is says that Surya Namaskar Yoga provides benefits of a holistic nature by working on the physical body, praana (breathing), mind, intellect and the bliss components (or kosas) of the entire human personality. In that sense, Surya Namaskar can be considered to be a personality development tool and must be included as part of one’s wellness program

WHO IS THE PRAJAPATI ? A VIEW ON RIG-VEDA GOD.

                           The Manu Smrithi says: In the beginning, all this existence was one undifferentiated, unmanifested, indefinable, unarguable and unknown in every way. From this condition arose the Universe of 'name and form' (Sanskrit: Namarupa), through the medium of the Self-existent Creator i.e swayambhu. The Hira ṇ yagarbha Sūkta of the Rig Veda  declares that God manifested Himself in the beginning as the Creator of the Universe, encompassing all things, including everything within Himself, the collective totality, as it were, of the whole of creation, animating it as the Supreme Intelligence. It is as follows.

There is a reference or an allusion to knowledge of Namuci story in RV.VIII 14.13: "With waters' foam you tore off, Indra, the head of Namuci, subduing all contending hosts." This short reference is believed to have culminated in the full puranic story of this highly popular Narasimha form Narasimha And Prahlada The story of Narasimha as described in the Bhagavata Purana is as follows: In his previous avatara of Varaha, Vishnu killed a rakshasa known as Hiranyaksha. Hiranyaksha's brother Hiranyakashipu, greatly angered by this, started to abhor Lord Vishnu and h
